To address the lack of space along with and the increased need for workshops and training rooms, the electrical technology center was expanded in two construction phases.

The challenge of the project was to create a uniform image that combined the aesthetics of the existing building dating from 1990, and the extension dating to 2004, with the new addition.

The floor-to-ceiling glace facade illuminates the environment and offers a spectacular view of the Römerkastel and the surrounding vineyards.

The issue of weight was a key factor in the choice of building materials as the structure of the existing floors would be supporting the new extension. 

 

The austerity of the metal mullion-transom facade with the steel structure and the ceiling of trapezoidal sheet metal emphasizes the technical character of the workshop.
